Why we built this
The scholarship application process is broken. Talented students from Ethiopia, Yamen, Nigeria, Indonesia, Pakistan, and dozens of other countries spend months applying to scholarships they never had a real chance of winning, because they didn't know which ones fit their profile, or how to present themselves compellingly.
At the same time, students from better-connected backgrounds had access to private counsellors, alumni networks, and insider advice that made the process far less mysterious. That gap is not about merit. It's about access.
ScholarMatched was built to close that gap; permanently, and at scale. We believe that a student in Addis Ababa, Aden or Lagos deserves the same quality of scholarship guidance as one at a well-connected university in London or New York.

ScholarMatched is what I wished had existed when I graduated high school, and again when I finished my bachelor's. Both times, searching for scholarships felt like a full-time job endless spreadsheets, confusing eligibility criteria, and no way to know if I even had a chance before investing hours into an application. I knew there had to be a better way. So I built ScholarMatched to make that process easier for every student who comes after me, turning what used to take months of guesswork into a clear, guided path toward the right opportunities.

Not everyone has a mentor to guide them through the scholarship journey. Along the way, we made countless mistakes, faced rejections, and spent hours figuring things out on our own before securing our first scholarships. Through those experiences, we gained valuable knowledge and insights that we wished we had from the start.
